ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROLLERS LTD.
This is the latest concept to be developed by E.V.C. Ltd. Once again a PLC is at the core of this system which allows the coupling of two Zapi Mosfet single motor or two motor controllers. This allow two identical locomotives to be integrated into a single machine, thus doubling the haulage capacity of the train. Motor functions such as current and R.P.M. are monitored and adjusted on a continual basis. This ensures equal sharing of the load among all of the drive motors. The interface has been designed to accommodate radio remote controls which further enhance the system. It is expected that in the near future this system can be configured for "push pull" and "unmanned" tramming locomotives.
